Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born the 31st of January 1974. She's best known for her role as Bo in the Showcase TV series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk are the fathers of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright and director. She also teaches the art of drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's very first impressions were of play rehearsals and watching her mother at work. Silk was featured in a variety of commercials in her early years as a young child. She was in 1997 when she graduated with the degree of bachelor's from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk made the move to Toronto in order to develop her acting career in the month of November 1999. She then, over her next ten years, moved to Los Angeles California. She met her spouse, Seth Cooperman, at the workshop for actors in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple was engaged during 2009 and then married during a civil ceremony December of that year. The couple renewed their vows on April 10, 2011, in Fredericton, after the woman was converted to Judaism. Silk got a baby with the name of Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Levi Aaron, her second son was born on May 13 in 2016. Silk's TV appearances include the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she earned a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009 she secured the main character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant while shooting the finale of season three. The following day, on January 6, 2013, she confirmed this to the viewers during Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special. The day before, on June 4, 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on Season Four. On June 20, 2013 Silk posted on Twitter that she was back to work on the show. CNN named Bo's portrayal with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most popular television couples ever. E! Magazine also classified it as the best TV couple of the year 2013. Entertainment Television. As a result of the popularity of the show, Silk has cultivated a huge audience on social networks.
